Summary

Chapter 7: Marian returns home from doing the surveys and begins to get ready for a night out with Peter. She stops to pick up some food on her way over since she is unsure if Peter will want to go out or eat at her place. Peter’s apartment building is described in detail and he is the only tenant as the rest of the building is still being finished. Marian is not sure what sort of mood Peter will be in since he seemed so upset on the phone the day before about his friend getting married. When she arrives, he is in the shower and has made her a drink. He comes out of the bathroom in a towel and tells her that he wants to show her something. She follows him into the bathroom and the two make love in the bathtub...
