Summary

Lachess arrives at the Estate, angered by Cygnus killing Salathiel. She no longer intends to show mercy to Cygnus, realizing that peace was not an option for her. Fangbane and the Knights retreat, giving space to the cataclysmic battle tearing apart the Estate. Kylah encourages them all to fight, and together, with Fangbane’s guidance, they fight on Cygnus’ side, the side they believe to be the lesser of two evils. Gaven, still in grief, is unable to fight. With Shiba’s words of encouragement, Gaven fights alongside Shiba as if they were partners. Lachess accepts defeat by Cygnus, declaring that they were destined for the same fate; she had accepted her fate, and it was time for Cygnus to accept hers.
