Summary

Gaven, troubled by Eoin’s words—that the Blessed are not responsible for the destruction caused by the Defiants, led by Soteria—begins to consider the truth of the claim. Erel reminds him that Mirari was the glue holding the Knights together, and since her departure, both the Knights and Gaven have been unraveling. Erel reflects on the moment Gaven chose to kill Mirari for the good of their people, but Gaven confesses that he intentionally let her live.
