Chapters 8-11 Summary

Jacob takes Bella to the beach again and they talk about the child with whom another werewolf recently imprinted. Jacob says he has not imprinted yet, but he has not seen much of the world. Jacob then insists that he does not want to see more of the world if it will take him from Bella. However, when Bella tells Jacob that she plans to become a vampire after her high school graduation, Jacob becomes very angry and they argue. Bella rides her motorcycle to the Cullen house. Edward comes back early, surprising Bella in the middle of the night. They talk about her visit to Jacob, but Edward does not become angry as Bella expected.

Bella returns home and discovers that certain items are missing from her bedroom. Bella assumes Alice took them. Edward arrives and smells an unfamiliar scent...
