Chapters 4-7 Summary

While Edward is off hunting with members of his family, Bella goes to work. When Bella realizes they do not need her at work, she decides to go see Jacob. Due to the fact that Bella did not know she was going to do this until she got into her car, she is able to reach La Push before Alice sees where she is going. Bella and Jacob go to the beach where they can talk undisturbed. Jacob tells Bella more details about the chase for Victoria the previous weekend that ended when one of the Cullens accidentally crossed the border line that is part of the truce with the werewolves. If not for Carlisle's quick intervention, there might have been trouble between the werewolves and the vampires that night.
