Preface and Chapters 1-3 Summary
Eclipse is the third installment in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. In the first two books, Bella, a human, falls in love with Edward, a vampire. Edward tries to end their relationship in the second book, causing Bella to become close to her friend Jacob. However, Bella is so desperately sad without Edward that they eventually find their way back to one another even as Jacob begins to transform into a werewolf, the natural enemy of vampires.
Preface. Bella steals herself to face certain death.
Bella receives a note from Jacob, but she is still angry at him for getting her in trouble. Bella's father, Charlie, attempts to make dinner and fails miserably. Charlie then tells Bella that she is ungrounded but that she must use her free time to spend more time with her friends...
