Magick
As "Eclipse" is a book about witches, magick is arguably the most important theme in this novel. The novel begins with Morgan arriving at Kithic's Saturday night circle during which her birth father, Ciaran, appears in a vision in front of her to warn he is coming to talk to her. She and Hunter scry for Ciaran and receive a vision of an approaching dark wave. Daniel works at developing a spell to counter the dark wave and save Widow's Vale, but the spell he comes up with is will likely kill the witch who casts it because of the necessity for them to be in close proximity to the dark wave.
