Chapter 9 Summary
Morgan is swept with guilt that her family and friends are in danger because of her; even Hunter may lose the father he just found, and though she knows Hunter will forgive her, she doubts she can forgive herself. As a series of crazy thoughts shoot through her mind, Morgan finally decides to confront Ciaran and use his true name against him since "to know something's true name is to have ultimate power over it- it can deny you nothing" (p. 112). Once her family is asleep, Morgan draws a chalk circle in her walk-in closet and sends a message to Ciaran to meet her at the power sink before crawling into bed until Ciaran's voice enters her mind to tell her one hour.
