Summary

The novel is narrated in the past tense by the main character, Natsuki, an 11-year-old girl. Kise always got car sick, but Natsuki did not because she had magical powers. Natsuki believed she was a magician. She had a magical wand and a magic transformation mirror in her backpack. Her best friend is Piyyut, a stuffed hedgehog who she believes is from the planet Popinpobopia. She had met him in a supermarket when she was six and had bought him with her money.
