Kinsey Millhone

A twice-divorced private investigator whose mother and her father died in a car accident when she was five years old. She was raised by her single aunt who thought it best if Kinsey knew how to take care of herself and not be dependent on anyone else. Kinsey's second marriage to Daniel Wade was a nasty mess. He was addicted to drugs and Kinsey said that being married to someone on drugs was the loneliest a person could get.
