Silo 1

Silo 1 is the central control center in the silo system. It extends miles underground, and is serviced by some 100 shifters at any given time. Silo 1 is the home of Keene and Charlotte as they work together to save the other silos. To Keene, Silo 1 is largely full of good but misguided people in some cases, and cruel and malicious people like Thurman in others. As Keene learns, only one silo is to be released into the world based on the performance and chance of survival of its residents within. All other silos, including Silo 1, are to be destroyed. Keene ultimately comes to destroy Silo 1 so that all surviving silos – some three dozen of them – have the chance to survive.
