Summary

Chapter 27 – Juliette, who cut off all the camera and communications feeds going out from Silo 17 previously, now looks for the pipes that channel pressurizing argon gas. An emergency call comes in for Juliette in which it is explained the people from Silo 17 have been attacked, and the boy, Marcus, has been thrown off the stairwell.

Chapter 28 – Elise is terrified from everything that has happened. She runs lower into the silo until she meets a boy named Shaw who gives her some cooked pig. A mean man named Roy tries to grab Elise’s puppy, whom she has named Puppy, saying Elise has stolen the dog. Shaw helps Elise and Puppy escape, where they run into Jimmy. Elise demands to go home. Jimmy agrees.
