Summary

Chapter 14 – Lukas heads down to the server room to continue working on the computers with Keene’s help. Lukas also believes that much of what is in the Order is true, and is fascinated with the history of the old world. Juliette believes men like Castro and Lenin are nightmarish myths and legends designed to make people behave, but Lukas believes they are real and lessons of evil to be learned from. On the radio, Keene advises the digging stop, since the vibrations have been detected by Silo 1’s equipment. Keene explains he is determined to see that no one in Silo 18 dies. Keene explains he wants to help whoever inherits the world to set things right.
