Summary

In Chapter 16, Rufus, Whitey and Baby first head to the Bloods. Rufus tells the leader Pelican Sam his plan of their being alibis for each other with the police. The bloods refuse and the trio leaves. Then they offer the same plan to the Aztecs and they refuse as well. Rufus tells them to find him if they change their mind, otherwise they had to stay out of his territory. The trio returns to Rufus’ home to find Alex’s car parked outside.

In Chapter 17, Rufus walks into his home to hear Alex talking about filing a complaint. Alex tells Rufus he had come over to talk about the parents group when he ran into a situation. Rufus learns the Gassers attacked Janet and cut off one of her pigtails. Simon had then tied the pigtail to his car’s radio aerial.
