Summary
Dunbar’s plane lands in New York. The legal papers have been signed in London. Chris and Wilson have gone to the hotel. Florence decided to stay with her father on the plane, letting him rest. While Chris and Wilson are clearly driven by a desire to take back to the company, Florence is divided between following them and protecting her father by taking him back home with her to Wyoming. She feels that what needs is a “deeper renunciation of power, not a restoration to power” (194). She does not think it would be good for her father to drag him through another corporate battle.
