Summary
In Chapter 10: “The Bubble Reputation,” as Edgar watched Wireman’s tenderness with Elizabeth even though she was not coherent, he understood something had wanted all three of them together on the island. Wireman said he applied for the job because he believed he had a debt he needed to pay. He had not mentioned his head injury to the lawyer who interviewed him. He explained Elizabeth had taken him in and given him back his heart.
