Summary
Chapter 8 begins with Janina discussing, in narration, the importance of knowing one’s own astrological chart and horoscope. Janina says that she used to be a civil engineer who mostly worked on bridges. She even did some project in other countries. However, her arthritis got in the way of her work, so she became a teacher of English and geography. She is now retired and lives on pension payments. To keep herself occupied, she still sometimes tutors children, but she has to drive some distance to get to them, and it can be hard on her sometimes. None of Janina’s friends or neighbors have any interest or belief in astrology, so she generally does not talk to other people about astrology. Janina talks to Dizzy and tries explaining how astrology seems to back up Janina’s theories about the deaths. Dizzy remains skeptical...
