A gitar is a musical instrument similar to a guitar that Menolly plays while she is an apprentice to the Masterharper.

Sandtable

A sandtable is a table that contains loose sand to allow its owner to write on its surface. Menolly and her teachers use the tables to write out music compositions.

Eggs

Menolly has found two fire lizard eggs that she gave to the Masterharper for him and his journeyman, Sebell. When the eggs hatch, the Masterharper impresses the bronze while Sebell impresses the queen.

Thread

Thread is spores from the Red Star that fall on Pern at regular intervals. Thread will attach itself to any organic object and devour it in a matter of moments.
