Book 3, Chapter 1, An Old Man and a Golden Dragon, Chapter 2, The Golden Span, and Chapter 3, Godshome Summary

The beginning of Chapter 1 of Book 3 opens with an old golden dragon and an old man chasing after Tanis and the group of friends as they ride to save Laurana on brass dragons. The old man and his dragon think that they are Draconians with prisoners, since Tanis and Caramon are both dressed as draconian soldiers.

He forces them to land right in the middle of an area that Draconians patrol. Berem immediately, and literally, runs for the hills, while Tanis and Tas realize that the old man is Fizban, their old friend.
