Tanis

Tanis is seemingly the leader of the companions and often is the character that the point of view comes from during the story. Tanis is half-elf, half-human. His mother had been raped by a human soldier during the chaotic times that occurred after the cataclysm. Tanis had been raised by the elves for many years during his youth and fell in love with Laurana but left when it became apparent that the marriage between her and a half-human was not acceptable. When the story starts, he has decided to tell Raistlin and Camaron's half sister, Kitiara, that he is in love with her, but she never shows up.
