Part 6, Chapter 48 Summary
Claire and Roger set out to find Geillis. They knock on her door and her husband answers. He is drunk and rude. He tells them she's not home and to go away. They visit the Institute for the Study of Highland Folklore and Antiques next. Geillis works there. She isn't in at the moment, but they are able to see a photo of her, which confirms to Claire that they are looking for the right woman. They are able to interview Dr. McEwan about her. They lie and say they are with the Department of Antiquities at Oxford and Geillis has applied for a scholarship. It works like a charm.
Later Claire asks Roger to take Brianna to dinner, then pick up a bottle of whiskey and go back to Mr. Edgars house and try to talk to him. She tells...
