Book 4 The Cold Between - Chapter 10 & 11 Summary

F'nor returns from 10 Turns past along with the southern Weyrfolk. They steel away to quarters they only left a few days ago in this time. R'gul, who is unaware of Lessa's trip back in time, meets up with F'lar and Lessa with news of F'nor's return. He brings 72 new dragons but F'nor doesn't think the men will be fit to fight. R'gul prattles on that he doesn't understand why the men are exhausted. F'lar looks at Lessa and says that he thinks the southern Weyr should be maintained and that R'gul should consider it.

R'gul grumbles that the men better be well enough as soon Threads will fall. F'lar tells him that it is no problem. The man is mystified and asks if the Mastersmith has completed the Flamethrower. He has. R'gul doesn't...
