Lessa challenges F'nor. "What's the matter? Noble F'lar going against tradition?" (Page 113). F'nor comes up with a polite excuse for his half-brother's absence, but Lessa knows the truth. F'nor lets her goading get to him. He bluntly admits that F'lar is tracking K'net who is off raiding the Holds taking what should be rightfully given. An angry Lessa tells F'nor that F'lar would do better to imitate K'net than tracking to stop him. F'nor sets her straight. K'net is young. He follows her instructions too literally.
