Part V, Obituary: Chapters 74 - 76 Summary
An obituary is written up about Dirk Pitt in the Washington Post on November 19, 1993, nearly a month after his disappearance, when he managed to detonate the bomb left aboard Dennings' Demons. Sandecker and Giordino are at his hangar at the Washington Airport. Al is simultaneously delighted and sad because they have managed to get Pitt's Messerschmit Me-262A-1a home for him, and Pitt is not there to see it. Toshie is in Giordino's care and wishes to assist him in working on the airplane; she was trained in mechanics by her father before being groomed by Suma.
