Part III, Ajima Island: Chapters 52 - 54 Summary

Kamatori's shock at seeing Pitt alive is matched with the relief in the eyes of the remainder of the captives. Pitt used the tree to cushion his fall into the water, and then was able to climb back up, put the security robots out of commission and track Kamatori back to the house. Kamatori does not believe that the security robots were put out of use until Pitt presses the battery-magnet he created to the sides of the robots guarding the prisoners. Both robots fall over, incapacitated. Pitt has picked up a sword, which is thirty centimeters longer than that of his opponent, off the wall of Kamatori's study.
