A farmer discovers a hidden bunker filled with dozens of the Luftwaffe's first turbo aircraft, the Messerschmitt Swallow. At the time Mr. Clausen makes his startling discovery, Pitt, Giordino and Sandecker are speculating about Loren's abduction. They have been notified that Senator Mike Diaz has also disappeared, and they have come to the conclusion that some powerful force in Japan is determined to stop the American Congress from limiting Japan's business enterprise in the United States. They are not sure how this connects with the nuclear bombs being shipped to America, but the Japanese connection is no mere coincidence.
