Summary

In Chapter 26, sparks fly in the ship as they pass through the Gate. Min discovers they have been hit by a mine. The pilot announces they have been stuck in the Gate, giving the Pale Lightning time to use different Gates to beat them here and set mines. The ship is without power. Min and the mercenaries put on spacesuits. Jang communicates with Min. He can see in the dark and offers to tell her when someone is coming. When the first people from the Pale Lightning arrive to confront Min and the Mercenaries, Jang shouts in “anguish” and Min realizes they are Sujin and Haneul. Captain Hwan announces that Sujin and Haneul failed to discover Min's true identity, and will face a courtmartial unless Min and the mercenaries surrender.
