Chapters 23-24 Summary
Skink is badly injured. One of his eyes looks as though it might be lost. Decker has Garcia pull over at a convenience store, where he uses the phone and gets a new pair of sunglasses for Skink, the only thing the man wants. Skink refuses medical care. As Garcia, Decker, and Skink continue their drive, Weeb's deacon finds a young girl at a welfare office to fit the bill for Weeb's healing. The young girl is double jointed and can make her arms look hideously deformed. The rehearsals do not go well, but when they perform the healing in front of the cameras, it is goes so well that the program raises more than a million dollars.
Thomas Curl goes to Decker's trailer, hoping to find something that will tell him where Decker has gone. Curl is attempting to break...
