Summary

After the party, Lucy relaxes at Hunter’s estate in France. Olivia calls her and reveals that she is pregnant. Lucy encourages her to have the baby. Francis, meanwhile, is “being perfect as usual” (156) and says he will support any decision around the pregnancy. Lucy later considers her feelings for Hunter; she says he “not only made her feel safe, but left her free to feel unsafe” (158). Lucy continues to treat her cancer with holistic medicines.
