Summary

In school, Nikki notices that she and Brandon often seem to be looking and smiling at each other. In Biology, they are partners. Nikki is thrilled whenever Brandon talks to her for any reason, including biology work. Returning at book at the library later, Brandon sees Nikki drawing tattoo designs and compliments her. He tells her he hopes she enters the art competition. Nikki says she isn’t sure because MacKenzie is entering, but Brandon tells Nikki she has more talent than MacKenzie. Nikki is thrilled.
