Chapters 13-14 Summary

Chapter 13. Lil J says he wants to change the moment he had gone into the bathroom and Rico had switched the guns, but Kelly suggests that Rico did not switch the guns or the police might not know yet which gun shot the cop. Kelly pushes Lil J to make a decision, but he continues to hesitate. Finally Lil J gives Kelly the gun and asks him to hide it. Instead, Kelly takes the gun to the window and begins to fire into the street below where several cop cars are sitting.

Chapter 14. Lil J panics, demanding to know what Kelly is doing. On the television, Lil J can see the police storming the building. Kelly tells Lil J to lay down and sleep as he goes running out the door. Lil J lies on the floor in a prone position...
