Chapters 11-12 Summary

Chapter 11. Kelly tells Lil J about seeing a guy commit suicide by cop on television once. Lil J then gets them a couple of sodas and he and Kelly begin to talk about Lil J's options. Lil J recalls a time when he was in third grade and on top of the world. What Lil J had made had gotten gold stars in class that day, but when his father had picked him up for a birthday dinner, he had had his other son with him. Lil J's father had had his other son show off some award he had gotten to Lil J. No one had ever looked at Lil J's gold stars and his father seemed to have forgotten it was Lil J's birthday.
