Chapters 5-6 Summary

Chapter 5. Kelly asks Lil J if he would change having his baby, but Lil J quickly refutes that idea. Lil J becomes angry and threatens Kelly, but a trip to the bathroom and some alone time helps Lil J calm down. However, Lil J then begins to worry that Kelly might be calling the police, so he rushes back to the room. Kelly asks Lil J if he wants to call Maurice and find out about the Home Depot job. It is then that Lil J admits he left the Home Depot not because of the long line, but because he is afraid that a juvenile record in Texas might have kept him from getting the job and he did not want Maurice to find out about it.
