Summary
Chapter 3. The Corrigan family checks into a hotel. April had assumed they would stay at a local hotel, but instead the family drives two hours to the Mayflower hotel, where they check into a suite and are told that they cannot leave the room and they are not allowed to make any phone calls. April is furious and storms off into the bedroom. She then decides to call her boyfriend and explain to him what is going on.
As April prepares to call Steve the phone rings and she picks it up. She overhears a conversation between Max and Jim. The FBI had intercepted a letter addressed to Mr. Corrigan that was threatening his family. Max says that the family may have to stay put for a while.
