Los Angeles

Located in southern California, Los Angeles is a diversely populated city that is home to the apartment building where Grace, Billy, and the others all live. The neighborhood in which Grace and the others live, however, is not a good neighborhood. It is obviously in a poorer part of Los Angeles.

Apartment Building

The apartment building, located in Los Angeles, is where much of the novel takes place. It is where Grace, Eileen, Billy, Mrs. Hinman, Jake, Felipe, Jesse, Rayleen, and Emily all live at one point or another. The apartment building is also home to Billy's porch, where Billy and the others first see Grace.

The Boulevard

The Boulevard is one of the famous main roads in Los Angeles. It is where the hair and nail salon at which Rayleen works is located.
