Sense of Duty
Agent Joe Pistone began his time undercover with a sense of duty to the FBI. He was an FBI agent and this was the job he was assigned. Throughout his six years undercover with the mafia he never wavered with his sense of duty. Even when he met people who were innocent to the situation and would be hurt when the truth of his identity came out, he never forgot why he was there or why it was important. Pistone even got close to some of the wise guys, like Sonny Black, but he never let this interfere with the job he was there to complete. Sonny was a good guy doing very bad and illegal things, and it was Pistone's job to stop him as well as others like him. Pistone's sense of duty was stronger than his connection to Sonny Black.
