Summary
Dog on It is the first novel in the Chet and Bernie Mystery series by Spencer Quinn. Narrated by Chet – a 100 pound mix-breed dog and the ‘partner’ of private detective Bernie Little – the novel follows their investigation into the disappearance of fifteen-year-old Madison Chambliss, a gifted high school student who fails to come home one day after school. Although Bernie initially believes that Madison is with friends and will come home on her own, the further he digs into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, the more he becomes convinced that Madison has been kidnapped. As Chet and Bernie follow the few clues there are in the case and edge closer to the truth, they discover that they themselves have been targeted and that their own lives are in danger.
