Summary

Chapter 7 is titled “Cat Cell Culture.” An image shows Petey in a cell while three people glare at him. Petey is talking to other construction companies in town about rebuilding his lab. The man at Helpful Home Repairs says he cannot help. The woman at Always Open Builders says they are closed. A man at No Excuses Construction gives a bunch of excuses, including that it is too sunny. Molly asks why no one will help. Petey says he “told you this story in the last book” (116). Molly and Li'l Petey say they probably did not listen. Petey says there is no point. He tries to be good but cannot get past his image as a bad guy.
