Point of View

Authors write in either an omniscient or limited perspective. An omniscient perspective gives the reader information about what is happening with all the characters. A limited perspective means the story is focused on only one or two characters. While graphic novels provide an omniscient perspective, there are some limitations The reader learns about the characters as they have conversations and interact with each other, but the author seldom reveals what characters are thinking or feeling. Dog Man never speaks other than barking. The reader has no way of knowing for sure what this character is thinking or feeling. In this installment of the series, Petey has a couple of dreams that gives the reader information about his past. Most of the information is presented through the scenes and conversations.
