Summary

The novel opens with a general description of several important characters. The list includes Dog Man, Petey, Li'l Petey, Molly, 80-HD, the Chief, the Nurse Lady, and Maude. There are three introduction spaces devoted to the “Mysterious New Villain.”

Chapter 1 is titled “The Best Dog Man.” This page shows the Chief holding a photo of the Nurse Lady while Dog Man is holding a shiny ring. Both the Chief and Dog Man are wearing tuxes. The chapter opens at the “All New City Hall.” The Chief says Dog Man must be good. He cannot pee on the floor, poop in any shoes, or lose the ring. He reminds Dog Man repeatedly not to eat the ring.
