Summary

Chapter 10 is titled “An Ice Ending.” The Chief says Flat Petey has to get in the police car. Flat Petey drives the treasure tank over the Chief's car, mashing into into a dark spot in the snow. Flat Petey says the Chief, Sarah, Dog Man, and Zuzu will freeze before they can get back down the mountain. Flat Petey is made of paper, which does not freeze. Flat Petey taunts Dog Man who licks Petey, drooling slobber all over him. Flat Petey can barely talk and Sarah points out that once Petey got wet, he froze quickly and fell down, flat. Dog Man stands on frozen Flat Petey, and the others get on board, riding him down the mountain like a sled.
