Summary
In Chapter 15, Dan was haunted by the phrase “You will remember what was forgotten” (389) as he, David, and John took the Helen Rivington back to Frazier. Dan was hit with the urge to drink when he and the others arrived in Anniston to find that Abra, Billy, and Billy’s truck were all gone. He had put his head down on the steering wheel with his palm over his mouth, praying to God as he had been taught to do in AA when he realized what the voice in his head was trying to tell him. He remembered the story that David had told Abra on their way to Cloud Gap, along with the memory of Abra rubbing her hand on her mouth, and began to put things together.
