Summary
Chapter 17
Trinket goes to Jefferson Lee’s office to look at crime scene photos because she feels like something is wrong. Trinket notices that the statue of Grant is no longer Grant. It's now Forrest. Jefferson Lee tells Trinket this probably will not help Bitty’s case and not to tell her. Trinket then goes to see Bitty where she learns that Melody has been breaking Cindy’s confidence all over town and that it was Melody’s cousin that told the police she saw Sanders walking outside of town. This makes Trinket more suspicious of Melody and Johnston.
Chapter 18
Trinket learns that Melody is related to the Richardson family. The Richardsons once owned The Cedars, but Sanders had the tax man throw them out for not paying taxes, even though they had the money. When Trinket wonders where the Richardsons got the...
