Summary

In Chapter 8, “The Revolutionary Storm,” Kimiâ grows up. She does not have Darius’s eyes. When the family left their home on February 21, 1981, they left their family photo albums at home. Today she wonders what happened to them.

As Kimiâ grows up, Darius treats her like a boy, and the other girls keep their distance. Kimiâ comes to resemble Nour more and more. Kimiâ interrupts the narrative to say that she may be ready to talk about the Event. Kimiá is living in London at the time. Her mother and aunt have both sent her letters and Kimiâ is angered by this and throws their letters in the trash.
