Summary
Before Sanders met with Louise, he paid a visit to Dorfman. Dorfman reminded Sanders that Sanders had ended his relationship with Meredith because Sanders had caught her cheating on him. Sanders had seen her in the act of having sex through the purple stained glass iris on his front door. Sanders said he had forgotten he had told Dorfman about the iris. Dorfman told Sanders he had not forgotten, he just had not confronted what had happened.
At this prompting, Sanders remembered he had gone to Dorfman for advice about leaving Cupertino once he broke up with Meredith. Garvin offered him the job in Seattle even though Garvin did not really want Sanders to transfer. Sanders took the job, however, in order to start a new life for himself.
