The Heffley Home

Greg Heffley lives in a modest home with his brothers Rodrick and Manny and their parents. Rodrick lives in the basement which is also where the band rehearses. Greg's bedroom is upstairs. Illustrations provide information about Heffley's home and other settings. For example, one image shows Greg climbing from his bedroom window while Rodrick waits on the sidewalk outside.

The Town

Greg's family lives in an unnamed town that serves as the overall setting for the novel. There are only a few specific places, such as the kids' pizza place where Greg helps steal a drumstick, the car dealership where Rodrick tries to win a van, and the building where members of Loded Diper try to stage a concert. The individual settings seem reasonable. There is not enough detail to know much about the town, but it is a city large enough to support many businesses...
