Summary
Paying for ads is expensive. So, they advertise in the church bulletin with a note to contact Mrs. Heffley for information. They get no calls there, but they get hired for a bar mitzvah. When Mrs. Heffley says they have to dress up, they buy secret agent costumes. Greg refuses to help without getting paid, and Rodrick agrees. Greg had never experienced a bar mitzvah, but he finds it to be a fun party. Even though the lyrics are not appropriate for a religious event, no one complains, and the parents pay in cash. Soon, Loded Diper is playing events like an ugly dog contest, a tattoo parlor opening, and a fundraiser for injured firefighters.
