Chapter 118 - 120 Summary
Director Fontaine believes the film proves the ring is engraved with the kill-code. Susan and Jabba disagree with him. They argue that Tankado may have wanted the NSA to go public about TRANSLTR but he would never intend to endanger the nation's security by exposing the classified databank. Fontaine argues that there could be no other reason Tankado would give away the ring.
Jabba agrees that Fontaine is right. He types in the inscription, omitting all spaces. When Jabba hits enter, everyone realizes the entry was a mistake. A message appears on the screen that the entry is incorrect and that the kill-code is numeric. The worm begins to accelerate. Director Fontaine orders Jabba to shut down the databank but Jabba informs him it is too late. Meanwhile, the footage of Tankado's death is on an endless loop. Susan begins watching...
