Chapter 85 - 87 Summary

Susan and Strathmore drag Hale into Node 3 and bind his hands and feet with printer cable. Susan begins searching Hale's computer for the pass code. Strathmore tells her it is important that she find the pass code in case David is unsuccessful. If Tankado's pass code falls into the wrong hands before they are able to modify Digital Fortress, the entire plan will be ruined.

Suddenly, warning horns from the sublevels start blaring and a yellow siren light begins spinning over Crypto. TRANSLTR has overheated. Strathmore has no choice but to leave Node 3 and perform a manual abort.
