Chapter 67 - 69 Summary

Hale is sitting on top of Susan. She thinks he is going to hurt her but instead he buttons Susan's blouse and begs her to help him. Hale claims that he saw Strathmore kill Chartrukian. He knows his life is in danger as Strathmore is aware that Hale witnessed the murder.

Susan believes that Hale is using his Marine training to turn her against Strathmore. Hale insists he is telling the truth and that both of their lives are in danger. Susan knees Hale in the groin then shoves the meeting table through the glass doors and escapes through the broken glass.

Brinkerhoff caves in to Milken's blackmail and hands her the key to the director's office. Milken goes into the director's office to retrieve the printout and teases Brinkerhoff by insisting on reading the report by the window. She finds...
